Job Description:

Overview:

This position provides responsive service to internal clients to address employee relations and performance management issues in alignment with organizational policies and goals and in compliance with federal and state legal requirements.  

 

Responsibilities:

·         Supports the company by creating/implementing/maintaining human resources programs as needed.

 

·         Provide human resources to company by: implementing and maintaining employment processing, health and welfare benefits, records management, safety and health, AA/EEO compliance, and completing personnel transactions.

 

·         Manages company expectations by meeting deadlines, giving project status and issues; preparing reports.

 

·         Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements.

 

·         Completes special projects by clarifying project objective; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transactions.

 

Primary Functions:

·         Serve as the initial point of HR contact for associates and leaders requiring support on employee relations and performance management issues; partner with leaders to identify fair, legal and effective solutions that resolve concerns and mitigate organizational risk.

 

·         Work with managers on appropriate performance intervention strategies; assist in developing performance improvement plans and documentation.

 

·         Partner with management to conduct investigations into concerns and complaints; identify, implement and provide a written summary of immediate and systemic solutions.

 

·         Assist with recruitment functions as needed.

 

·         Conduct new employee orientation for associates.

 

·         Provide HR policy and procedural interpretation and guidance.
 

·         Conduct training on HR policies, procedures and processes; partner with business leaders to facilitate communication sessions on all shifts in local work locations.

 

·         Perform other duties and projects as needed by HR leadership or Plant business partners.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·         Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

 

·         Knowledgeable in reporting on data from an HRIS or other data sources.
 

·         Current knowledge of multi-state and federal employment laws and regulations.

 

·         Critical thinking and problem solving skills working with all levels of the organization.

 

·         Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage teams and projects without authority, and to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in fast-paced environment
 

·         Ability to make decisions consistent with department strategy and company policies.
 

·         Attendance and reliability is extremely important in this position.

 

·         Ability to speak, understand and write English required.

 

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting information and ideas and responding to questions from co-workers, vendors, clients and customers.

 

Required Education and Experience:

·         Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources.

 

·         5 - 7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources positions, Generalist preferred.

 

·         Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources programs.

 

·         Present strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communication, time management, analytical ability, organization and attention to detail.

 

·         Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

 

·         Working knowledge of ADP payroll system or comparable HRIS systems.

 

Salary Target: 60,000.00 USD-United States Dollar Annually
