We are seeking a Safety Engineer SME.



  • Develop and update all Program Protection Plans (PPPs

  • Review all Counterintelligence Support Plans, Integrated Threat Assessments, Operations Security Plans, and System Threat and Analysis Reports

  • Review and update the Anti-Tamper Plans annually

  • Review and update the Security Classification Guides

  • Review and update the Technology Assessment and Control Plans

  • Review and update the System Security Engineering Management

  • Evaluate acquisition documents

  • Conduct Contractor site visits to evaluate the design, implementation and verification of system security provisions

  • Evaluate Program Contractor change proposals addressing cost, schedule, performance and interface impacts/risks,

  • Evaluate internal, public, classified, unclassified requests for information and requests for information received from foreign Governments

  • Administer the System Security Working Group(s) (SSWG) meetings by scheduling meetings, preparing and distributing agendas, distributing review documentation, collecting and summarizing inputs on proposed actions, reviewing actions, recording and publishing the minutes,

  • Develop and maintain the Mission Systems security library on Live Link/SharePoint

  • Implement a project level quality program and metrics, assuring client satisfaction

  • Acts as a mentor for junior staff comprised of engineers, administrative staff, and scientists


Primary Location:  Los Angeles Area, El Segundo



Minimum Requirements:

  • 8 - 15 years’ experience in defense or national security-oriented services company

  • Experience with OPIR and/or AF Weather Systems , or similar programs is highly desired

  • 8 years of experience with Security and foreign disclosure processing

  • Experience with counterintelligence and other defensive methods to deny foreign collection efforts and prevent unauthorized information disclosure

  • Detailed oriented with good analytical skills a must

  • Superior communication (presentation, speaking, writing) skillsets

  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully with multiple clients on a variety of engineering projects

  • Extremely organized. Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills.

  • Can handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.

  • Willingness to travel to meet client demands—anticipated locations include Colorado, California, and the DC Metro Area

Educational Requirements:        TechnicalBS degree with CISSP certification


Clearance Requirements:            TS/SCIclearance required
