The Program Coordinator will coordinate customer and corporate events, tradeshows and sponsorships in support of Ryder’s business priorities and objectives. This individual will serve as logistical point person with business partners – i.e. marketing, sales, corporate communications – and vendors to deliver the highest quality programs for internal and external audiences. 



This position requires a person that thrives working as part of a collaborative team, has a creative and business-driven mindset and can present and sell ideas aligned with business priorities.

This will be a temp/contract assignment for 3 months. 






Requirements:




  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in marketing, with at least three (3) years in event management preferred

  • Ability to analyze effectiveness of tradeshows and sponsorships to ensure they are aligned with marketing and business strategy

  • Ability to think strategically and to manage resources (time and budget) to achieve objectives

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, including attention to detail

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently under pressure, managing resources and several projects simultaneously

  • Understanding of sponsorships and event marketing






Responsibilities:




  • Coordinate event and tradeshow participation and exhibits focused on showcasing the strength of Ryder and its solutions

  • Coordinate logistics for participation in events and sponsorships based on established objectives, including on-site administration, lead generation, resource supervision and other implementation details, including on-site logistics and staffing events

  • Participate in communications with relevant team members and associates on event logistics, requirements, audience demographics, wrap events, etc.

  • Assist with preparing event portfolio recommendation based on business goals, event measurement review, discussion with Sr. Management and distribution heads

  • Negotiate with event producers and outside vendors to procure space and to obtain the best value for the company investment

  • Works with Business Segment Team to identifies appropriate displays and support materials for each event

  • Provides timely post-event tracking and reporting
