Job Description:

Great opportunity for recent college grad! ATS is currently recruiting for a Software Engineer I to join our Engineering organization in Austin, TX. We are looking for an engineer who will be responsible for the design, development, modification, implementation and testing of real-time software applications. You will also participate in the testing process by performing unit and system level testing of applications, test result analysis and certification of software.

You will need to rely on your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and tasks. Must be able to work independently under general supervision to perform defined tasks. Review project requirements, analyze technical data, write plans and specifications, follow coding standards and CM procedures. Experience with Linux OS. Some travel may be required.

MUST BE A US CITIZEN WITH THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN A US SECURITY CLEARANCE.

Position Description


Responsible for the design, modification, and implementation of Command and Control (C2) software programs to meet the requirements and constraints of the customer scope of work
Participates in the testing process through test review, result analysis, and software certification activities
Receives direction from an immediate supervisor and works within a project team to accomplish all deliverables for a program


Position Requirements


Understanding of computer science fundamentals, concepts and practices
Programming knowledge (C, C++)
Must hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Security Clearance


Desired Skills


Familiarity with Linux Operating System
Familiarity with Agile development process


Education/Experience


Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering) with a 3.0 or higher GPA in major field of study
0-3 years of experience in the field or related area.
