TrueShip, creators of the leading online returns solution ReadyReturns, is looking for an experienced web developer to create a new unannounced web product, in addition to continuing the development of ReadyReturns.
We seek a programmer capable of diligent and effective work on online web software, with an eye towards identifying and resolving problems proactively.
While the software is written mostly in PHP with Doctrine for database access today, as an experienced programmer we expect that you are not particularly constrained to any one language. Should our future direction call upon skills in Django/Python or the Symfony framework for PHP you will either be already experienced, or quickly and confidently gain such experience on the job.
The contract may become long term.
You can expect work such as,
* Develop a new web based project involving shipping.
* Add new features or improve existing features in ReadyReturns.
* Improve security by detecting and fixing potential attack vectors such as SQL injections.
* Solve bugs with existing components.
Must have:
* Solid programming experience with a knack for fast learning.
* Confidence with creating unit tests to verify before and after behaviour when refactoring and fixing components.
Helpful skills:
* PHP
* Doctrine
* git
* MySQL
* Python
* Django |
